E-zekiel Customers Pack Out Full Day of Training

In April, more than 60 E-zekiel customers gathered at the Alabama Baptist Convention building in Montgomery for a day of intense training in the application. Led by E-zekiel trainer and director of customer services, Dacia Gulledge, topics for the sold-out event covered pages, panels, media, podcasting, events, and forms.

E-zekiel staff was glad to see that participants offered many positive comments in surveys turned in at the end of the day:

Creating Email Aliases

If you are promoting and using a personal email address like “yourname@yahoo.com” to receive email, with E-zekiel you can create an alias email address that still sends mail to your personal account but sends it through an “organizational sounding” name.

The alias, for example, could be something like “info@mychurchwebaddress.com.” When email is sent to that address, it forwards to your personal account. Yet the forwarding is invisible to the sender.

One of the advantages to the alias is that it provides a sense of anonymity; you don’t have to provide your personal email address. It can also relate to the specific request (such as requests for information). But the really major perk is this: over time, email addresses published on the Web become susceptible to spam mail too, so having an alias that can be changed without changing your personal email address (and updating all your contacts) is a beautiful option. The best part is that with E-zekiel, aliases are unlimited and free.

If you receive email through an alias address and choose to reply to the sender, your personal email account will be the one that sends the message, but you will have made the choice to make contact.

All E-zekiel plans come with varying numbers of email accounts, and while you can always add more email accounts along the way – keep aliases in mind as a cheap alternative and a safety net for outsmarting spammers too.

Helpful Hints and Tips for Creating Great Pages
Thursday, June 10, 10 – 11 AM Central Time

The Pages manager is perhaps the most important manager within your site.  It is certainly used more than any other manager. It is, after all, where most of the pages in your site are created and maintained. In this session, we'll look at the various capabilities of the Pages manager including search-friendly page setup as well as tools on the editor toolbar such as hyperlinks, images, and tables. Join us for the how-tos and helpful hints of the Pages manager!
